Like most of us I find it hard to throw away offcuts of materials and odd buttons. I'm such a hoarder...but you just never know when it might come in handy.
I created these pieces using some of those said 'scraps' as birthday presents... I liked mixing the leather/suede and lace along with stitching and a bit of sparkle, you can't beat a bit of sparkle!!
I've been looking at the big trend of patchwork and ginghams everywhere on many sorts of products at the moment.Today I have been trying to explore the use of this but making it look abit different but still commercial enough to go across the products I need it for. I had an old artwork of text that was on black and although I like it and think it is quite striking it's really not right. So I took that re-coloured the background and knocked the text colours back a bit. I then worked on a couple of new ideas which I can then use as starting points. Having a busy patchwork character on quite a plain simple background then doing the reverse....
At the end of last year I worked with Star Chamber to get their new single published.....here's the results that were pressed along with the flyers and posters that were printed for their launch date/party. I will photograph the final CD too.
The new logo was put across alot of product from badges and t-shirts to wristbands and even on the drums which I'm really pleased about.

Not the best two piccies and I will add some more when i find some better ones...these are the save the date and wedding invites of one of my friends. I created for them last year, along with all teh usual evening, replies, seating plan etc etc....I ended being so pleased with the splash on the invite that I have been using it since as my logo...

Working for a greetings company and in the Christmas studio means I work on christmas all year round. I've been trying to explore new ideas but I also still have to keep it commercial. I'll start putting up some of the recent things I have been working on and add older work too. This is one of 4 which I have been working on...I have mocked them up onto silver foil board to give them a satin look which you can't see so well in this photo.
With the different work and crafts I do and along with all the wonderful inspiration I keep finding I thought it was about time I started up a blog to keep a record of it all...so bare with me while I get started. It may take me a while to get to grips with it all, hopefully not too long.
