I've been looking at the big trend of patchwork and ginghams everywhere on many sorts of products at the moment.Today I have been trying to explore the use of this but making it look abit different but still commercial enough to go across the products I need it for. I had an old artwork of text that was on black and although I like it and think it is quite striking it's really not right. So I took that re-coloured the background and knocked the text colours back a bit. I then worked on a couple of new ideas which I can then use as starting points. Having a busy patchwork character on quite a plain simple background then doing the reverse....
