Large Embroidered Lavender Hearts

These pretty little hearts went off in the post on Friday and hopefully haven't got stuck in the snow somewhere. I had the lovely order in for this ladies Nanny. They were for her daughter and niece to give to their Great Nanny which I thought was great!! What do you think??

Close up of their names on the reverse. Really loving these fabrics!

Frosty November morning

We're lucky enough not to have the snow.......as yet but we've been having some very hard frosts which result in pretty mornings aswell as freezing cold ones. This morning the frost never really went so I got out and took a few photos on the fallen leaves. They always look pretty edged with ice.

Oh and a couple of tiny frozen fungi.

Flying visit to Ireland

Sorry I've not posted for a while. It's all been a bit crazy most of the work i'm doing I can't show you yet either. I've had a few craft fairs which I'll post about but this brief post is flying trip to Ireland on Tuesday. My other half needed to go and look at trailers, exciting stuff you may think or maybe not he he. But it was a chance for an adventure for the day and a little plane trip...... I like the taking off part. Anyway after a very foggy and very early start we wondered if any planes would be flying driving through the country lanes but once we got there it was ok. We got picked up at Belfast international which spoilt my ideas of a shopping afternoon when we realised how far out the city it was. We went round the factory if you can call it that and looked at the processes of very well made trailers. here's a couple of snaps.

- one massive tyre!!

And Ofcourse we had to have one of these in the airport after lunch on the way home.

Christmas is coming

Well the shops are getting all Christmassy again already and we've not even had halloween yet. Yes I feel it is a little early even though I work on it all year round.

It was nice to see this week though when I popped in the BHS to get some samples of my cards that are in this year.
Sorry the photos aren't very good atall, they were quick sneaky snaps on my not so great camera phone. there is low res images in the illustration page of my blog here

I will be off to hunt the rest of what I had printed this year in the run up to Christmas and will be posting them as I find them :)
Hope you like them

Wedding Love Birds

A while ago I think I showed you a pair of ivory and gold love birds I made.
They were for my friends little girl who was being bridesmaid to give to the bride as a little good luck gift to hold.
It was lovely to make these as those sort of gifts sadly you don't see around so much anymore. I remember seeing family photos of the bride holding many a concoction of wooden spoons, rolling pins, horse shoes, black cats and lots of pretty things.
So it was a lovely idea to take this tradition and make it a little more contemporary and extra special by being handmade. Hannah kindly has sent me these photos to share with you. The big day of her friend Emma went well and Eliza looked very pretty and grown up.

Packaging

Here's some close ups of some packaging I've been working on. I like the bright Funky text and the layered feel to the second image.

sorry long time...

Hi Folks
Sorry it's been a bit of a busy couple of weeks. Lots of different work on, which is good but keeping me distracted from here. I've got lots of photos to upload and show you but never seem to have quite enough time to sit down and do it.
Here's a close up of a little design project I've been working on for a customer. There's several products and It looks like this is going to be a reject. Still waiting to hear. Thought I'd share it with you. I've enjoyed sitting making Suffolk puffs again. I'll find a link to show you how to do them if you don't know.
If I don't get back before I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
