Brooch for Becky

Here's just a little brooch for Becky. Now it was Becky who gave me those lovely ceramic buttons back in February for my birthday if you remember the post. Anyway I wasn't sure what to use them for just knew they had to be something extra special. So the first one to use I thought was appropriate to go on this brooch I have made for her, the colour matches perfectly. It's Becky's last day at work tomorrow before she leaves to go off on to bigger and better things a wee way away up the country. I've sooo enjoyed working with her the last few years and will miss her. Good Luck Becks!!

Easter card

Here's my little Easter card to you know who.....

Sneaky peak at valentines.....

Just been working on some Valentines ideas...here's a small peak at some of the ideas though not the whole thing.

The beauty of spring

I know I've already pictured the snowdrops but finally the daffodils are out and showing their pretty little heads so I wanted to share these with you. It'll be the bluebells soon.

Out and about we also spotted this frogspawn...mmm can't wait to go back and see lots of little baby tadpoles and frogs! It's been the season the last few weeks for our common frog to come out of hibernation and to get mating. The frog song at night in the cold and the wet has been amazing...so many little frogs out wanting to be heard by their chosen one. It's been fabulous to see them all out. I've never seen so many frogs in my life! I do like them they are all wet and slimey and horrible they're rather cute little little things.

I'm not sure at the moment if the letters are going to be stitched on or just raised and stuck on like my personalised pictures....

My first giveaway!!

This week I feel I have hit a bit of a milestone and have reached 50 followers on my little blog...it still surprises me that so many people are interested in what I make and do. I am very grateful for all the lovely comments I get and words of encouragement it makes it all the worthwhile sharing these things.
I have also just gone over 100 people joining my new fanpage on facebook. I've had it going less than a week so for me that feels like an achievement in itself.
It's been great having everyones support and I am slowly getting myself sorted with things my etsy shop will be up and running very soon I know I've said it a few times already...please check back for more details.

Anyway as a little mini celebration I have decided to finally have my first giveaway!!
Now I haven't got many things to giveaway but I've chosen 3 of my favourite products that other people seem to really love too. One of the pretty little cupcakes from the stand that I've finished tonight...if you have a preference then say so if not one will be picked at random, one of my cute little birds which I love and one of my woolly flower brooches.

Now to be in with a chance of receiving these 3 little goodies all I want you to do is leave a comment saying either why you like any of these or if there is something else you might like to see me have amongst my range.

I will pick the winner by random generator next thursday...the 25th March...my grannies birthday! so that gives you a week folks.
Thanks again

oh don't forget to leave me someway of contacting you either a web address or email.

Cupcakes!!

My little cupcakes are finished. I have been on a bit of a mission the last couple of evenings. I have cut out, sewn, stuffed and decorated 16 little cupcake pin cushions ready for the fair Claire and I are doing in a few weeks. Here are little snippets of the stages.
I still have lots of other goodies to make but feel better for getting these done.
Cut up ready to get the sewing machine out.

All stuffed and ready to close up and decorate.
Very pleased with the way they look on my new little wire cake stand.

Finally the Floor cushions

The two cushions that I had been comissioned for are all finished one was delivered just over a week ago and the other will be tomorrow.
I know the first one went down well, Isla slept on it Sunday afternoon :) Hope the spotty one does too.
Sorry the photos aren't the best but lighting at this time of night isn't great.

They are both approx a metre square, filled with memory foam chips so very comfortable made from heavy cotton, backed in black seen as they are floor cushions. with an envelope closure and 4 buttons on each.

New announcement

I have a sad announcement to make. After an enjoyable and exciting year working with a great friend I have had to make a hard decision to leave Bunting and Bows and to let Beth go forward and continue with that exciting venture on her own. I know she will continue to make fantastic products and push the range and make it her own. I wish her well and I hope the business continues to grow into bigger and better things.

With my up and coming redundancy which is leading to my new exciting and scary venture into the freelance world I feel that I can't devote enough time and energy to Bunting and bows as I want and need to. I have to put all my resources into my future. I still have so much to organise before I leave my job and it is going to mean alot of extra hours to get started and to get it off the ground, it just wouldn't be fair.

There will be a cross-over period where my products will still feature on the website and facebook page until they are replaced with her range but it will be Beth who is following up any orders made through there.

I would like to thank each and every person who has supported my involvement with Bunting and Bows over the last year and all the wonderful words of encouragement both Beth and I have received.

I will be continuing to make my products. You can find them through my blog and through my personal facebook page (I will be making a facebook page devoted to my design work and my gorgeous gifts very soon) and I will be opening a online shop, hopefully sooner rather than later.

If anyone is interested in any gorgeous gifts that I make or if there is something special you would like to commission me to create for you please feel free to contact me at anytime.

Watch this space for more details

*************

I've been making some changes on my blog tonight. I wanted to change my header and also I've added a few new pages. Trying to make it look a bit more like a website layout to give me more time to get to that part of my to-do list. It seems to be growing by the day and June is getting closer and closer. Still lots to sort out and organise but I'm telling myself I still have 3 1/2 months yet.

'Elias' christening picture finished

Here's the latest christening present all finished ready for the weekend.

Pegwell

Here are a few photos from a flying visit to my dad's. Pegwell bay is really close to him now. We didn't have time to get down to the seashore but the lovely viking ship The Hugin is there. It's a 1949 reconstruction of one that invaded the coast over 1500 years ago.

We also saw this cute little car going through the village of Wingham. wish I could have got a side or front shot....but not to be.

Thanks :)
