What do you think of my wrap designs? I think they may look good on bedding too with some work doing to them. Watch this space for some ideas for that. I did the purple background first then thought they would have more of a contrast on white. Now I like both of them but for different reasons.

New Books!!!

I had two new books arrive yesterday from Amazon and haven't had time to look at them properly yet but I thought I'd share a few snaps with you.

Evening...I've been abit slack lately with posts, sorry all. My heads not with it at the moment. Will be back to normal soon.

Decisions Decisions

Well that news was a bit of a shock. Heard this morning I'm being made redundant at the end of June along with the rest of our studio. So if anyone has any design jobs going or any freelance work please feel free to contact me.

Atleast being the end of June it gives me a little while to sort myself out and decide what to do. Decisions, decisions.

It could well be the start of something exciting so lots to look forward to.I'm sensing 2010 is going to be the year!!

The weekend

ok so I got a bit cheesy

Just a couple of piccies from the weekend, seen as I have managed to get lots done tonight, feeling rather productive bunting 90% finished and now 3 blog posts!! very pleased.

Well I had rather a relaxed weekend this weekend and I hope you all had good ones too, wasn't sure what the weather was really going to do and the snow didn't quite turn up like we originally thought it would. But there was still enough for us to go sledging Saturday afternoon and take a few walks in the snow with the dogs. Here's the aftermath of the sledging I had a ball but did get a few facefuls of snow so got pretty wet but all in good fun :) ok so I got a bit cheesy

Bunting for Frances

Here's what I've been working away at tonight. I had an order come in for some personalised bunting for my old friend Frances, a present for her niece I think she said. I managed to get the biggest part of the job done tonight just the pretty buttons and maybe a bell or two to sew on tomorrow night...oh and ofcourse the sewing in ends!!

Pom poms

Well I just thought I'd share the pom pom phase I've just started and and my new exciting makers that turned up today. Here's my experimental project in full swing.

Easy peasy just wind it round, no more cereal packets and threading through holes.

The different sizes of makers I've got might be in for some more now, they're fab!

Christmas Treats

Now christmas is over and the presents have been received there's a couple of things I can now post. Beady eyes may have spotted them before.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year Everyone!!! How can it suddenly be the 6th January already?! I hope everyone had a fabulous New Year. We had a quiet one which suited me down to the ground, what with the dodgy weather and to be honest I'm not that fussed about big celebrations at New Year so a quiet one in with some nice food and a couple of drinks watching the fireworks on the tv was great!

It was so nice to have a decent break from work and I kept a promise to myself that I wouldn't do any sewing, knitting or crafting either... so I could actually rest for a change, like many of you others the run up to christmas was rather manic.

Any New Years Resolutions to share? I haven't seemed to have had 5 mins to think clearly about them and thought I should set some goals this year.I tend to not bother.

I don't know how the weathers affecting everyone else but I've been yo-yo-ing in and out of work this week teamed at home what with our downpour of snow. Heres a few snaps from yesterdays snow, I didn't venture far and not for long.

I'm off to have a play with my pom pom makers which arrived in the post today...very exciting!!! Sad I know..he he but I can't wait. It'll speed up my little project no end. No more cutting up cereal boxes and hopefully will give my wrist a rest. I can't believe it feels like I've given myself rsi making poms poms, who would have thought!! Will post you photos when its all finished.
